The Chania Med Forum starts on Thursday afternoon and concludes Sunday night.
The social program includes:
- Icebreaking reception and dinner,
- Networking meals,
- Cretan dinner and traditional Cretan dances,
- Visit to the Typography museum where the development of print since Gutenberg is exhibited
- Field trip to the Chania countryside, and visits to the oldest olive tree of the world, the old Orthodox Monastery of Gonia, a Cretan cheese (graviera) factory, an olive oil maker, a taste of the local wine as it is produced at a winery (depending on availability),
- Drive through the Therisso gorge, visit to the El. Venizelos Cretan Revolution HQ museum and have a traditional meal at the local
- "Rebel"'s taverna
- More optional activities will be available to participants during the Forum
Chania Med-Forum applies the Chatham House Rule
